About Our PricesOur prices are all inclusive, which means we do not accept gratuity. It also means that, unlike some other salons, all services include shampoo, scalp massage, and style. While we strive to make our all inclusive strategy work across the board, we do have to add cost for extra-thick or extra-long hair when necessary, as well as for additional color if required. This additional cost (if applicable) will be discussed in your consultation.About Stylist LevelsWe offer different levels of stylists based on their experience and education level. Protege stylists are new members of The Black Cat Family, but they are well qualified to give you a look you will love--they wouldn't be here otherwise! Junior stylists have been at TBC for a while and are moving their way up the ranks with their bad ass skills. Senior stylists have been through the ringer and have proven themselves as rockstar stylists time and time again. Master stylists are the sages of The Black Cat, having years of experience and education under their belts. Last but not least, the Owner needs little explanation. Jentry has completed the nation's top educational programs and is a certified Vidal Sassoon Instructor, in addition to being a pretty great guy to talk to.

Not to toot our own horns, but we have our very own Vidal Sassoon trained In-Salon Educator. This means we have world-class continuing education — and therefore some of the best cutters that you can find anywhere. Whether you’re looking for a dramatic change or just a little maintenance, you're in good hands with our color team. Our colorists regularly attend classes and workshops keeping them up to date on the latest trends and techniques. Policies

Cancellation PolicyA valid credit card is required on file to secure all appointments. If you are late we will do whatever we can to accommodate you; however, if you are excessively late, we will have to reschedule your appointment. To avoid charges for salon services, please honor our advanced notice cancellation policy. We require 24 hours notice for all appointments booked during weekdays, and 48 hours for all appointments booked on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Late cancellations and no-shows will be subject to a fee equal to the full amount of the service booked.Child PolicyFor the safety of your children and in consideration of all of our guests, no children under the age of 12 (including babies in strollers) are permitted in the salon area unless they are receiving a scheduled service. Children under 12 receiving salon services must be accompanied by an adult who is not receiving services. If a child becomes temperamental or will not sit still for the service, we will not perform the service. Please know that because of both the chemicals and implements we require, this decision has been made in the best interests of the children.Gift Card PolicyGift cards are not transferable, may not be returned, may not be redeemed for cash or used to purchase another gift card. Service prices are subject to change. Salon packages may not be substituted. The Black Cat Hair Studio is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.Privacy PolicyTo protect your privacy, the information we collect from our visitors is stored in a secured database. Physical access to the server on which we store visitors information is restricted. We use your credit card information only to bill you for the products and services you order from us. We do not share your credit card information with anyone, except as may be necessary to process your transactions. This privacy policy is subject to change. If we choose to change our policies at any point in the future, we will post the new policies promptly. By using our website, you agree that your visit to our site and any dispute over privacy is governed by the then-current version of the Online Privacy Policy and our Visitor Agreement.

Parking:We recommend parking at the nearby municipal parking lot--covered, secure parking for 75 cents/hour. Metered street parking is also available. We will be happy to feed your meter during your service. Please do not park in neighboring businesses' parking lots--they will tow.
